Pretty tight routine lately, now no less, however, I desperately wanna blog this.
Milk in the mug, reading Mr. Fake’s latest post is how I have been ending my everyday routine for almost a week now. This mystery blogger, supposedly, an insider of the Kolkata Knight Riders leaves thousands hooked to his blog bringing in loads of drama and confusion, penning out every single detail, right from breakfast to night of the crew. With this talented mole in the KKR team, this IPL is getting more interesting than the real one.
I have been just pondering, how can this guy whose – 1. posts run to at least 3 daily on an average; 2. has a massive fan following where the numbers augment by a thousand in less than a day; 3. has a good writing skill and acumen enough to match a professional columnist/ an author, just have been playing 11 down all these days unnoticed? Well, he could definitely make a good career handling the pen rather than go for this backyard brawl for the bat.
Minus the deprecating dirty innuendos, he plays the blog world really well. It comes out to be a fun-filled group activity among friends--reading the inside skinny on his team; laughing over his hilarious statements, cracking his well-framed code names and playing Agatha Christie trying to find the real Mr. Fake. Of all, like many guesses go, this could end up being just a publicity scam or a mode of viral marketing. Whatever the strategy, Mr. Fake sure is hogging the limelight!
And finally, me, having been a “not-really-interested-about-cricket” type, now adding an ingredient of this Fake IPL player thing, fake it is though, I've started finding a good place in the “truly-mad-about-cricket” rap session that I have always felt unbelonged!
